OUTSIDE OF WORK

01.2017 - Present
Bright Side, Chicago USA
I built an online magazine called Bright Side where immigrants can share their inspiring stories to empower each other and show the world their positive impact on society.
Since we launched, we've:

2017
Second City Training Center, Chicago USA
Participated in an 8-week storytelling course at the Second City to learn how to shape the events into a compelling story.

2017
Northwestern University, Chicago USA
Served as a "client" contact for Segal Design Institute undergraduate students in the Design Thinking and Communication course, briefing students on a problem-to-solve and serving as a point-of-contact helping them work through their chosen design solution.

2017
Northwestern University, Chicago USA
Participated as a guest judge for the 2017 Winter Quarter Segal Design EXPO, for the first-year design course; Design Thinking and Communications. I interacted with students that were primarily working on design projects supported by the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago to aid people with disabilities and provided feedback.

2016
Northwestern University, Chicago USA
Participated as a guest designer for the 2016 Leadership Studio at the Segal Design Institute, where over 100 students were invited from all over the country to tackle a social impact challenge, strengthen their design innovation and leadership skills. I was asked to support student teams as they build low-fidelity prototypes of their ideas and give individual feedback.                              - Reference letter available upon request.

2013 & 2016
CreativeMornings, Spain & USA
I was both Madrid (in 2013) and Chicago (in 2016) team member at CreativeMornings, which is an international monthly breakfast lecture series designed for creative communities.
